We have a mountain of new toys in the house that Mr. C received for Christmas. Here are a few of the most popular things he has been playing with recently.
The packing insert from a toy box.
Corks from wine bottles. ( I see a few Belgian beer bottle corks mixed in!)
Tongue depressors and Popsicle sticks.
The roll from an aluminum foil box, and an old shoe lace.
The box insert is the foundation.
The corks are bricks.
The sticks are girders.
The tube is a crane when used with the shoelace, or a garbage tube for the construction site when used alone.
Like Mr. C, I would rather play with things like this than an actual toy sometimes. When asked what he might want for Christmas, I should have told people to save their toilet paper rolls and bottle caps.
